ABOUT LINKAGE
The story
LINKAGE was established in the summer of 2004 and ever since it daily provides it’s ever growing number of visitors with a screenshot taken from a nice Flash website.
When it all started LINKAGE was blind to the techniques that were used to create the websites it presented but soon after the focus shifted to only websites that were created with the use of Flash.
These websites seemed to push the boundaries more than the ones built without the use of Flash and according to LINKAGE looked more appealing. LINKAGE still only presents Flash based websites although the latest version (still) doesn’t make use of Flash.
Further LINKAGE is maintained and updated daily without any funding since day 1. Because of this it is free to do what it wants and therefore always has been critical with the placement of banners or any other content.
Criteria
The way LINKAGE decides if a website should be presented with a screenshot is a mysterious one. About this subject there have been many questions…But no real answers.
Emotions are involved…
Strict NO?
LINKAGE is nice…But refuses the following:
- Websites that are made without Flash!
- Websites with clearly visible Google ads.
- Websites that contain pornography, violence, hate etc.
- Websites that are spam sensitive.
- Websites that promote illegal software etc.
- Websites that don’t respect general rules of the internet.

For those who know what this means.
